Woodcarving Patterns & Printable Templates
Choose what you need and get started. The existential crisis in front of the block can wait, at least for today. 😇
Always check the proportions and resize the PDF to suit your wood. A sheet of A4 is very accommodating; the block, sometimes, a little less so.

From paper to wood
Four steps, without making life complicated
Download
Open the pattern directly from its card: you can view it on screen, save it for later or print it when you are ready to begin.
Transfer
Transfer it to the wood with carbon paper, direct drawing or temporary glue. The right method is simply the one that lets you work best.
Make some shavings
Now all that is left is to begin. If you want to see how it went for me, the linked cards take you into the project or to the video.

Which one will you start with?

Gingerbread Man
He certainly looks edible, but I strongly recommend sticking to carving him!

Suspended Sleigh & Reindeer
A reindeer, a sleigh, and quite a few presents in free fall. Just your typical peaceful Christmas…!

Easter Egg Bunny Experiment
At Easter, logic can take a holiday: so yes, a bunny can absolutely hatch from an egg!

The Little Bubble Bobble Dragon
From a flat image to a pattern with front and side views: to avoid carving a mysteriously squashed dragon.

Woven-Effect Basket
It looks woven, but no twigs were harmed in the making: it’s all done with cuts and relief carving.

Comfort bird & cat
Small, smooth, and made to fit in the palm of your hand. Warning: after the first one, you may suddenly feel the urge to carve an entire zoo!

Sitting Fox Whittling Pattern
AI said this fox was my work. So I carved it and made the whole thing official!

Good Luck Owl
A little Christmas owl in a hat who looks like he knows exactly where you’ve hidden the presents.

Reindeer with Stand
Two patterns for two reindeer polite enough to stand on their own.

Dressed Reindeer
Elegant reindeer, because you can’t face Christmas wearing the first piece of wood you happen to throw on!

Halloween Bat
A bat on a diet, because apparently even Halloween decorations have their problems!

Comfort Bunny
Two bunnies, two poses, and one very serious experiment: finding out which shape really wants to be stroked.

Deconstructed Clock
A wooden clock with absolutely no interest in putting the numbers where they belong.

Little Birds
Side or front view, so the block starts looking like a little bird before the knife even gets involved.

Bunny in Its Burrow
A little bunny carved from wood, made to hide in its burrow… but with a rounded bottom that makes it wobble when it decides to come out.
